“A flexible, creative and supportive approach for children, young people and adults who experience the world differently”
Do you see the world through a different lens? Does your child experience the world differently? You might be high functioning, but experience sensory overwhelm. Or perhaps your differences are varied or more complex. I am happy to adapt to your preferences, for example, by sitting alongside you if eye contact feels too much. When art making, I can match your processing style; this might mean working quickly and spontaneously, or more slowly with predictable routines.

Support for sensory overwhelm, difference and complexity
I am experienced in working with children, young people and adults with a wide range of additional needs and diagnoses in special schools, community settings and care homes. My experience includes supporting those with neurodiverse conditions or diagnoses such as Autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), AuDHD, pathological demand avoidance (PDA), sensory processing disorder (SPD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). I also have experience with sensory challenges, physical disabilities, learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. For those who use them, I can communicate with PECS symbols and Makaton sign language.

A safe and confidential space to be yourself
I recognise that difference comes in all shapes and sizes and strive to see each individual client in their uniqueness. For those who are unable to talk or find it difficult, arts counselling and/or Sandplay therapy can be particularly effective. There is no requirement to talk or articulate thoughts or emotions with spoken words. Creative activities can be used for self-expression, and I am there to support the process in a safe, confidential space.
